Tresors El Mamoun

Description

The Face Art Ceramic Vase is a handmade ceramic vase with a cream-glazed surface and expressive green face art. Its most distinctive detail is the split, arch-like body: two upright columns are joined at the shoulder, leaving an open space through the centre.

Green brushstrokes run vertically down each side to form elongated facial profiles, with rounded eyes near the upper body and short dotted marks suggesting lashes or brows. Compared with a standard bottle vase, this version has a more sculptural outline, with the decoration following the shape rather than sitting as a flat repeat pattern.

Green face art and sculptural shape

The design uses deep green lines against a warm cream glaze, so the facial motif stands out clearly without needing extra colour around it. The narrow top neck rises from sloping shoulders, while the open central arch gives the vase a lighter, more architectural look.

Because the piece is hand-painted, the brushwork has a softened edge in places, especially around the eyes and vertical facial lines. That hand-applied quality is part of its visual character.

How to display it

Use it as a standalone decorative ceramic piece where the arched centre can be seen, such as on a console table, sideboard, mantel or open shelf. It can also be styled with dried stems; slim grasses or simple dried flowers will keep the green face design visible.
